Cloth for mum too!

If you are already using modern cloth nappies for your baby, the next logical step might be to use cloth products for mums. Cloth menstrual pads, also known as "mumma pads", are quite similar to modern cloth nappies - backed with waterproof PUL, an absorbent middle layer, and topped with flannelette or cotton. They are soft and comfortable, and secure with a single snap. Mumma pads are also very cost effective! These should last your lifetime - for an upfront cost of about $50 (depending on how many you buy), you can save hundreds, instead of having to fork out money each month for disposable pads. They are also simple to wash - give them a quick rinse and throw in the nappy bucket if you still have babies in nappies, otherwise throw into a small bucket of water to soak (an old ice-cream container is a good size!) until you are ready to do a load of washing.
